Alisah Bonaobra performed Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down in front of Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Obsbourne.
Sharon called her voice amazing but her performance “one dimensional.”
Now that the Wild Card has been confirmed, Bonaobra’s chances to return is big.
The X factor UK journey for Filipino singer Alisah Bonaobra has come to an end.
Her Performance is One Dimensional Said Osbourne
Last Saturday, Bonaobra performed Sam Smith’s hit single “Lay Me Down” in front of judge Sharon Osbourne together with her children, Jack and Kelly.
Although the performance was powerful, thanks to Bonaobra’s vocals, it was not enough for her to get a spot in the final three. In the end, Osbourne picked Grace Davies over the Filipino singer.
“You have the most amazing voice. I know you really need this and you really want it. But I feel that you’re kind of very one dimensional. Your power ballads, and even though that’s fantastic, I want to see other sides of you.”
Earlier this month, Bonaobra burst into tears during Bootcamp and begged the judges for another chance after she got a “no.” She proved herself and earned a spot in Osbourne’s group after singing her powerful rendition of “All by Myself.”
The Wild Card
Known for their surprising “Wild Card” edition, the X factor team confirmed that they will play it again this year. Host Dermot O’Leary stated that the details about the wildcard voting will be presented immediately.
With Alisah Bonaobra failing to get a spot in the top 3, will it finally be her chance to win the wild card edition? After all, getting a seat after getting a “no” is not new for the Filipino singer. Knowing how she proved her abilities with Nicole, the wild card might be in her fate and draw her back on the X factor UK.
Do you think Alisah should be given another chance and return to the competition?
