Her advocacy involves sustainable tourism and responsible traveling.
This is the last of the four beauty queens to compete under the Miss World Philippines Organization.
Philippines bet Cynthia Thomalla was crowned as the new Miss Eco International 2018 during the pageant held last Friday, April 27 in Cairo, Egypt.

The new Miss Eco International is dubbed by local pageant fans as the look-alike of popular Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway: from the way she smiles to the way she projects herself.
Cynthia Thomalla is the Last of the Four Beauty Queens
Also known by her nickname Thia, she is the third queen from the Miss World Philippines 2018 batch to make history. The first one is Teresita Ssen Marquez who became the first Filipina to win the Reina Hispanoamericana and Sophia Senoron who became the very first Miss Multinational.
The Miss Eco International pageant aims to help cancer survivors and to promote eco-tourism in the world.
During her send-off last April 6, the beauty queen bared her advocacy for responsible traveling and sustainable tourism. She reminded travellers to be respectful and responsible wherever they go, starting with picking up their own trash.
For me, it should be the traveler who should be responsible for their trash. If they’re traveling, they should know how to pick up their trash and throw it properly…Eeveryone should be aware of how to take care of our planet because only have one planet….Everyone should be an eco-warrior and everyone should be environmental friendly.
For her Eco video for the competition, Thomalla went back to Southern Leyte and showcased what the province has to offer. Other cities such as Manila, Palawan, Ormoc, and Davao Oriental were also featured.
