Filipina OFW Praised For A Calm Reaction Despite Being Yelled At By Rude Chinese Seatmate Inside A Bus In Hongkong
Working far from home already has its downsides and Overseas Filipino Workers endure too much from being far away from their loved ones just to earn money to sustain their whole family and trying to get along with their employers and other people in a foreign land despite attitude problems in some of them.
One OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), Angela Sentillas Pasco chose to rise above the situation when a Chinese woman’s outbursts which were spoken in her native tongue were aimed at her. She translated that the woman called her fat and even hurled other vindictive words which also meant “slave”.
Netizens praised her for being poised despite the situation where she was yelled at repeatedly by the woman. Pasco related that the woman was irked when she got on the bus and there wasn’t too much space between them; the woman who had her bag on the seat didn’t bother removing it giving little room for Pasco to sit on but she didn’t utter a single complaint.
The woman who was clearly annoyed with her also didn’t stop with shouting and continued to make angry remarks but Pasco, decided to just let it go, instead, she just recorded what transpired. The woman even spotted that Pasco was using an old model to which she made a cruel statement that her Android phone is the newest in the market. Pasco dismissed the provoking and acted like she didn’t understand Chinese.
Other netizens admired Pasco for being quiet about it when others will easily get offended and strike back. Another passenger who couldn’t take the humiliation any longer told to woman to stop which ended with the two shouting at each other until the woman kept quiet.
