A complaint has already been filed by CIDG against the couple. The alleged money making scam couple are the registered owners of NewG which is the company recruiting innocent investors.

There are 23 more included in the complaint filed before the DOJ (Department of Justice) who are called “uplines” or key players in the online investment scheme. After the couple was arrested, one of the “upline” said to a media company (ABS-CBN News) that she received death threats from the “downlines” (investors).

Mark Anthony Dela Paz is another upline who’s getting death threats. He said that 115 of his downlines invested Php196M in the company. Php15M came from his relatives while Php10M came from his friends.

“Sa text and and chat sa FB, hinahanahap po ako, papatayin daw po, uunahin daw po ang pamilya,” he said.

He declared that he won’t be able to give back the money that his investors lost.
