Friday the 13th: Cebu Pacific Flight 5J 461 Plane Veers Off Runway and Landed in the Rice Fields

What will you do if the plane you are currently riding took an emergency landing? That will be a terrifying experience. Unfortunately, passengers of Cebu Pacific Flight 5J 461 experienced that.

Unfortunate Situation

Last Friday night, there was an emergency evacuation of the passengers from the jet plane that landed at the Iloilo International Airport. The plane landed not on the runway but in the rice fields.

The plane carries 180 passengers and 6 crew members from Manila to Iloilo.

A Facebook user named Loui Latoza posted on Facebook and shared some photos from the incident.

“I thought mamamatay na kami. Intense masyado. Subsob jukha namin haan nag lalanding. Sobrang nakakatako! But I’m still glad everyone in this flight is safe.”

In a Twitter advisory, the airline stated that the passengers were all safe and accounted for. They are also being attended by airport personnel.

No details about the emergency were given but the company stated that they are already investigating the matter and promised that they will provide updates as soon as possible.
