Hashtag member Franco Hernandez died today, November 11.
According to the police, he died of drowning.
He was on a boat with his friends and girlfriend when big waves hit it.
Young star and member of the boy group Hashtags, Franco Hernandez, died in a drowning accident today, November 11, in Davao Occidental. The death of Hernandez, known for his great dancing skills and comedy antics, was confirmed by his management agency, Cornerstone Entertainment.
It is with deep sadness and grief that we accept the news of Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan aka “Hashtag Franco’s” passing today. He was a very promising talent and a true star in every sense of the word. He was passionate, hardworking, humble and liked by all. He lived his life following his dreams and made every second count. Franco was not just our talent… He was part of our family. And our hearts break into a million pieces for such a young life gone too soon. We will surely miss him. Rest In Peace our ever dearest Franco.
According to Cornerstone Entertainment, Police Officer 2 Rolly Conad reported that Hernandez was on a boat with his girlfriend, fellow-Hashtag member Tom Doromal, and two other casualties when big waves hit the boat during the afternoon.
Hernandez and his girlfriend fell into the water. Although both of them were saved by the boat driver and the crew, he was already unconscious when rescued. He was rushed to the Estacion Medical Clinic but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, Dr. Nimayre Macabaya.

Because of his sudden passing, his close friends from Hashtags and other members of the show business took to social media to express their sadness.
