KZ Tandingan Will Continue To Wow Audiences In “Singer 2018”
KZ Tandingan, the “Soul Supreme” and the first grand champion of “X-Factor Philippines” will go on to do what she does best in the popular show “Singer 2018”. She’s back again at the international competition held in China for the “Breakout Round”.
KZ became famous when she won “X-Factor Philippines” thus was even given a title of her own. She showcases her talent in turning any song to a jazzy version and she can rap pretty well.
As of late, she’s again making a buzz for joining the show in China even beating her idol Jessie J when she won the top spot on the competition where Jessie J is a regular candidate.
She amazed the Chinese audience when she sang the jazz version of “Rolling In The Deep” which was a hit song by the European singer Adele which she ended by rapping. Sadly, in the 9th episode of the competition, she got eliminated but she’s definitely back for a vengeance this “Breakout Round”.
She performed the Mandarin version of the greatest hit of Freddie Aguilar, “Anak” which according to her she “practiced tirelessly”.
“I started by transcribing the lyrics in Pinyin (the official system for romanizing Chinese characters) using Google Translate to make it readable and understandable. I also met up with my Mandarin teacher to practice the pronunciation and phrasing of the words … I memorized everything in four days,” she narrated.
“I was told that its Mandarin and Cantonese versions were popular in China,” she added. “And it’d be great to perform an OPM classic.”
KZ already has under her name 2 albums and has appeared in plenty of shows in ABS-CBN like Your Face Sounds Familiar, The Singing Bee and We Love OPM. She continues to wow Pinoy audience with her authentic voice in ASAP (a Pinoy variety show).
