iPhone 8 is coming September 12
The iPhone 8 will have an edge-to-edge display that does away with the top and bottom bezels where features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the front-facing camera are housed
There will be no physical Home button on the iPhone 8
The long wait will soon be over because on September 12, IPhone8 is expected to be introduced to the public. Touted by some as “IPhone Edition” or “IPhone X”, the release of the smartphone will coincide with Apple’s 10th anniversary; rumors also say that other inferior models, IPhone 7S and 7S Plus will be launched during the upcoming event which will be held at Steve Jobs Theatre which will most likely be attended by 5,000+ press people and developers from all over the world.
There are speculations that this iPhone8 won’t be available until October and will be sold in few quantities; there are even claims that the new IPhone won’t be out in the market until 2018. Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company noted that there may be a delay in production due to some setback with its Touch ID sensor. A similar claim from a research from Deutsche Bank was gathered by Business Insider.
How much will it cost?
iPhone 8 will most likely cost from a whopping $1,100 to $1,200, which if it were true, will be the most expensive IPhone ever made and with only two variants of 128GB and 256GB.
The new IPhone upgraded the digital assistant with voices that sound natural and complete with emotion and Siri is more clever this time, giving up to date and detailed information about things like locations amongst others. Siri is soon to be translated to different languages from all over the world which makes it easier for users of the smartphone. Apple Pay will also have a revamp to assist peer-to-peer (P2P) payments by their new IMessage app where each transaction will be confirm via Touch ID and money will be moved to “Apple Pay Cash Card” which wasn’t confirmed yet if it can be transferred to a person’s own bank account.
There will also be talks about new improvements with its Photos app which includes a new feature like Boomerang’s loop feature and additional HEVC and HEIF compressions which means a storage space can be saved by 50%. Messages app will also have much needed improvements and there is also the cross-device syncing feature addition and a do over of the app menu.
Included in the revamp are its modified “Lock Screen Notifications”, a “Control Center” that has all its features in one pane and the “Do Not Disturb While Driving” app which will conceal notifications while driving. In the new-look app which has an “Apple Music-esque design” is the new “Today” and games tab. There is also an improved in-app purchase tab.
