After Gaga Lord, the Filipina who made Simon Cowell feel like James Bond, got 4 yeses in The X Factor UK, two more Filipino acts are moving on to the bootcamp to join her.
JBK boyband, and Filipina-Australian singer Elysa V traveled all the way to UK to take their shot at The X Factor UK. The long journey paid off for both acts when they got all the judges to say YES.
Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario, and Kim Lawrenz Ordonio make up the trio of the first Filipino boyband who made it to the competition and viewers cannot help but compare the group with the Filipina girl group 4th Impact who made it all the way to the quarterfinals in 2015.
After their performance of Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down, Judge Nicole Scherzinger, who also has Filipino blood told the group that they are making the Filipinos so proud.
During their interview at ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda last September 21, the group shared that their 24-hour long flight was totally worth it and that they immediately felt recharged as soon as they saw all the judges.
Filipino-Australian, Elysa V performed Fleur East’s Sax. Judge Nicole was so impressed that she flew all the way from Australia, and told her “For you, your mom, dad, everyone back home in Australia, it’s a Yes.”
Half Filipino singer Angelica Hale is the happiest girl in the world after winning first runner-up in America’s Got Talent.
Even though she did not get the top spot in the competition, 10-year old Angelica was still very thankful.
On her Instagram account, she posted a photo of her on stage after her final performance with the caption:
“Thank you so much to all of you who have supported me on my @agt journey! No matter how the voting results come in today, one thing is clear – This is only the beginning! I am literally the happiest girl in the World and nothing can take that away!,”
