- For thousands of years, many people believe that hell is a physical place, an abyss of bottomless pit lying underneath the Earth that connects the world of the living and the world of the dead.
- And because it’s almost Halloween, here’s a weird, kind of supernatural, terrifying news.
On October 9, 2017, Monday, as the blaze ripped through the parts of Northern California, Matthew McDermott, a Sonoma resident found a shocking odd scene while trying to escape and get out of the fiery devastation.
He was driving around Schellville when he saw an eerie tree filled with glowing, bright orange and red-hot flames from within.
In this footage, you will see through a series of holes in its trunk that the fire burning inside has hollowed out the whole tree while its exterior appears mostly intact.
You will also hear McDermott say, “That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Another spooky and unbelievable sight that you will notice in this video is that the surrounding trees remain intact and unburned.
Netizens speculated that the fire could be coming from an underground magma chamber or that the tree could be hollow and rotten inside that’s why it burns like a chimney on fire.
However, according to some scientists, this occurrence is no witchcraft or some kind of a gateway to hell. It could be due to the moisture content of the tree. If the outside is damp, perhaps due to rainfall, a fire can start to smolder from the inside of its hollowed out trunk.
There were several reported cases of these mysterious burning trees being consumed by fire inside out. And although this strange phenomenon has been seen before, there is no definitive explanation for it and therefore has remained an unsolved mystery.
Here’s the footage of the mysterious burning tree:
