Come February 10, 2018 for an epic throwback! Relive the best music of the late 90’s and early 2000 as Playback Musical Fest presents two eras of music in 1 festival night. Witness performances from Stephen Speaks, Vertical Horizon, Leigh Nash of Sixpence None The Richer, 90’s boyband, Blue, and local artists of the 90’s and 2000.

Not only you’ll get to sing your hearts out. You also get to see the most iconic retro video games, movie, and TV Sries Screenings, Fashion Styles and more in one venue.

This event is happening on February at the Circuit Makati Event Grounds from 4 p.m. – 12 m.n.

Stephen Speaks

American group Stephen Speaks is one of the three international acts who is going to perform at the Playback Music Festival. They are known for their radio hit songs “Passenger Seat” and “Out of My League”. It is said that they will reveal new songs for the tour in 2018.

Sing-along with Vertical Horizon’s classic hits on February 10, 2018. This American alternative rock band was founded in the early 90’s. They are composed of Matt Scanenel, Ron LaVella, Donovan White, and Mark Pacificar.

The band is famous for their songs “Everything You Want” which proved a breakout as the single skyrocketed to the top of the charts and became the 5th most played song on the radio in 2000.

“You’re a God” have been the top of mind song when we heard the band’s name. The song was released as a live performance on the charity album Live in the X Lounge III. It was also featured in the movie Bruce Almighty.

Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer

We bet some of you had their fair share of karaoke favorite including Sixpence None the Richer hits.

Good news for the fans out there! Leigh Nash of known for their songs “Kiss Me” and “Breathe Your Name” and their covers of “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “There She Goes” is also coming to Manila to do LIVE performance at the Playback Musical Festival next year! The name of the band is inspired by a passage from the book Mere Christianity by C. S. The band received two Grammy Award nominations, Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Kiss Me” and Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album for Sixpence None the Richer.

In 2000, Nash sang the song “Need to Be Next to You” for the movie Bounce in order to thank Miramax that had used “Kiss Me” in the movie She’s All That.

Lastly, we bet all girls are familiar with these lines “You bring out the best in me, like no one else can do” or “If you come back in my life, I’ll be there til the end of time.”

English boyband Blue, formed in 2000, is composed of Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe. They also popularized the songs, “Best in Me”, “If You Come Back”, and “Fly By” to name a few.
They have released three studio albumsAll Rise (2001), One Love (2002) and Guilty(2003) that all peaked at number one in the United Kingdom alongside releasing 16 singles, over a four-year period.
