Here’s another addition to roster of international artists performing in Manila this year. Famous 90’s crooners Joe and Tamia’s will be having a one-night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena, on March 9, 2018.
Joe and Tamia’s tunes are everyone’s jam in the 90’s including Joe’s “No One Else Comes Close” and Tamia’s “Officially Missing You.” Recently, Joe released an album last month, My Name is Joe Thomas while Tamia’s last album was Stuck With Me in 2015.
Joe’s “No One Else Comes Close” was and probably still everyone’s favorite tunes in the 90’s. With Joe’s voice, oozing with such emotions and character, which got him numbers of nominations in Grammy Awards, BET Awards, NAACP Awards, and Soul Train Awards. Some of his awards include “Best RnB Male Artist” , “Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals” , and “Outstanding Album” to name a few.
One of his famous collaboration he did was with Mariah Carey in “Thank God I Found You” which became a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tamia’s “Officially Missing You” has been mostly the cover songs on YouTube, and anytime jam here in the Philippines. With its sweet message and uncomplicated melody, no wonder it’s been sung anywhere in different renditions.
Before entering the music industry, Tamia made several appearances in local theater and choral concerts before winning Canada’s prestigious YTV Vocal Achievement Award in 1993. The Canadian singer is also famous for her hits “Stranger In My House”, “Into You” and “Hit Me”.
Also, she have been nominated in different music awards, and even won “Outstanding Song” on “Spend My Life With You” in year 2000.
