The fighting may have stopped but for some service men, their battles never end, for each and every day, they are paying the human cost of war and violence. This is clearly depicted in the works of David Jay titled The Unknown Soldier. In this series, the photographer captures disturbing yet remarkable images of severely wounded veterans and psychological toll of war.
These images undoubtedly reflect honor and pride of these American veterans.
Every photo incredibly speaks of these soldiers’ strength and power despite the great changes in their lives.
As Plato once said, “Only the dead have seen the end of war.”
