Nonito Donaire Defeats Settoul Within 2 Rounds and 3 Knockouts
Nonito “the Filipino Flash” Donaire beats his Frenchman opponent, Anthony Settoul within a mere total of just two rounds via a TKO. The shortly-cut 10-round bantamweight fight took place in Venetian Resort in Macau, China, yesterday (July 18, 2015).

Donaire, now with a record of 35 wins and three defeats, 23 KOs, overpowered Settoul, whose record is now 20 wins and four defeats, 8 KOs.
During the first round it was seen that Donaire already had the upper hand, as he was able to land a left uppercut on Settoul. Just moments after the strong uppercut, Donaire landed in a right hand on his opponent, before finally throwing in a left hook on Settoul, which led to the latter’s knockdown. Donaire was able to knock out Settoul twice during the opening round of the bantamweight fight.

Donaire, during the second round, still did not go easy on Settoul. Donaire’s swift, powerful, overhand right punch sent Settoul to yet another knockout. And at just 1:41 of the second round, Settoul’s corner threw in the towel, signifying a surrender from their side. That signaled the end of the shortly-cut boxing match, and marked Donaire’s victor against the Frenchman.
Donaire was able to knock Settoul to a total of three times in the two-round boxing match.
“We worked really hard for this fight, and I did everything I needed to do,” Doinare said after the fight. “I wanted to set him up with the body shots and finish it from there.”

33-year-old Donaire’s defeating of Frenchman Settoul is the former’s second consecutive win in the one-on-one boxing series. Donaire previously won against Brazil’s William Prado2. Donaire is set to compete against England’s junior featherweight Scott Quigg (30-0-2, 22 KOs), next. If Donaire succeeds against Quigg, he will move on to face Spain’s Kiko Martinez.
