Just this July 25, 2015, the “Battle Rounds” of “The Voice Kids” in the Philippines has finally commenced.
The viewers have witnessed the extraordinary talents of several young artists who were qualified for the Battle Rounds.
One of these young artists is Sassa Dagdag. Sassa is a 12-year-old young girl who came from Angeles, Pampanga.
During the audition, she sang Sia’s hit song entitled “Chandelier.”
With Sassa’s powerful performance, the three coaches of the show were immediately impressed — coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo as well as Bamboo.
The Broadway star congratulated Sassa for her great performance. According to her, she picked a very good song for her audition. She also added that her performance was interesting at the beginning but became a little interesting towards the end of the song. But, overall, she said, it was really good.
Bamboo, however, disgreed with coach Lea’s comment. He said, he really like the entire performance.
“When you suddenly took it soft, that showed me you want to make it your own and make it different, I want you,” he said.
Sarah also turned for Sassa because, according to her, she is a complete package — from her looks, the way she stood up on the stage.. She added that, the young artist did not need to sing high notes just to impress them.
Came from a Musically-Inclined Family
She revealed towards the end of the clp that she came from a musically-inclined family. She said that her dad is actually a member of a ban and a guitarist. In her story, she shared that her father is her mentor.
She eventually played a guitar and sang a song dedicated to her father.
Coach Bamboo was lucky that he was picked by this amazing young artists.
Sassa is indeed incredible. She definitely has a long way to go.
