Sometimes, swimming with the sharks isn’t a bad thing.
Two brothers, Marcus and Logan Lakos, noticed an injured hammerhead shark stranded near the shoreline in Destin, Florida, with fishing hooks attached to its mouth and steel fishing line wrapped around its head. Logan immediately decided to pull the poor marine animal to shore in order to save its life.
Due to lack of understanding of what’s going as well as the behaviors of hammerhead sharks, people got scared and freaked out. But when they realized that Logan was trying to rescue the creature, bystanders helped him out in removing the two fish hooks and a lure from the shark’s mouth. To avoid further injuring itself and for the safety of the public, the shark was dragged back into deeper water. Witness the whole heroic act by watching the video above.
