Did Chavit Singson Just Got the Franchise for Miss Universe Philippines?
Manila, Philippines — Did we hear it right that LCS Group of Companies of prominent political figure Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson got the franchise for Miss Universe? The announcement of Miss Universe winner Catriona Gray made so many Filipino fans happy and inspired.
The newly crowned Miss Universe 2018 arrived via a private jet plane from Bangkok accompanied by Miss Universe Judge Richelle Singsong-Michael and former Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson. And, with this comes the gossip. One of these is the news that Stella Marquez-Araneta, the owner of Binibining Pilipinas Charities Incorporated (BPCI) and the current franchise owner of Miss Universe Philippines will hand over the franchise rights to Chavit Singson.
Reports say that Catriona Gray will be the last Miss Universe Philippines who will be crowned under Binibining Pilipinas.
Miss Universe 2017 which happened in the Philippines was also partially funded by LCS Group of Companies. It’s the year when Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach gave her crown over to the new Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaire of France.
Chavit Singson declared that he is not new to helping Miss Universe. In fact, after he first sponsored the pageant; he made to a point to help it year after year. He said that the 2018 Miss Universe Pageant happened in Bangkok because of his help. He also said that he also helped the next Miss Universe location to materialize which is in South Koreas with the presence of North Korea. He said that this can be a good exposure for Catriona Gray who was a crowd favorite from day one of the pageant. Some folks will be happy about the change while some won’t like it. It’s just a matter of time to find out if the transfer of franchise right will be for the best of the Miss Universe Philippines.
As for Catriona Gray, everyone is positive that good things are going to happen for this Fil-Australian beauty.
