The 25-year old beauty queen Winwyn Marquez impresses judges and wins special awards at this year’s Hispanoamericana pre-peageant, as reported by ABS-CBN, Tuesday afternoon.
Winwyn Marquez is the daughter of television personalities Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno. She also the niece of former beauty queen, Melanie Marquez.
During her win at the Miss Word Philippines stint as the , she was quoted:
“I’m just happy kasi I’m going to be the first Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas candidate, first ever Filipina to compete sa Bolivia. I’m going to fly, I think, end of October.” She also added that she joined the pageant without expecting anything, and that she’s just going to enjoy and show the people what she’s got.
According to the pageant’s official Instagram page, Marquez landed in the top 3 in the Traditional Costume category wearing a creation by Edwin Uy.
Marquez wore a golden warrior outfit, which Ed said that he drew inspiration from the Pintados tribe of Cebu. Panama’s bet Carolina Castillo won the award in this category.
As posted at Aces and Queens Instagram account, Marquez is said to have won the hearts of the Latin community, and was awarded as 1st runner up for Miss Personality. She is also said to be included at the Top 5 for Miss Deportas Patra (Sports) and Best Smile.
Not only that, Marquez has also won the Ipanema Girl award Gal de la Belleza event.
She was also a finalist in the Best Smile and Miss Silhouette categories, and was named the Ipanema Girl.
The 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana coronation night will be held on November 4
