Vincenzo Episode 6 Recap

Episode 6 began with Attorney Han and Myung-hee meeting Judge Heo who will take charge of the trial. Being Babel’s pet, Judge Heo affirms them that the trial won’t be a problem; while he also complains that he always cleans up after Babel’s messes. Although Wusang has ties with the Judge, Vincenzo has planned well their strategy to mess up the trial causing its postponement.

Vincenzo’s tricks were hilarious, while Cha-young is such a great pretender. As Myung-hee starts with her argument, Cha-young delivered their Plan a, struggling to make her remarks and ask to take her medicine for anxiety then suddenly collapse. Vincenzo assumed Plan a will not work and prepared for Plan b, the power outrage carried out by Young-woon. Afterward, they proceed to Plan C, the chaos. As Cha-young proceeds with her remarks, which is the go signal; Cheol-wook releases the Hornets he has been hiding under his coat and proclaims that they’re deadly hornets causing everyone’s uproar to leave the court immediately. Judge Heo got stung by the hornets, causing half of his face to become swollen. Unable to speak, Judge Heo adjourned the trial for a week then suddenly passed out. Vincenzo’s strategy was a success.

After the successful postponement of the trial, Vincenzo went to visit Kyung-ja, his mother. He went there to replace the presence of Yoo-chan who was supposed to visit her. As they had their conversation, you can see how curious Vincenzo of how his mother lived her life alone and at the same time scold her that she’s living a life full of excuses. As Kyung-ja admitted that she’s living that way she also apologizes, but Vincenzo told her to save her apologies to someone who deserves to hear it. This scene showed how much Vincenzo longed for her mom to come back. Though Kyung-ja is in a pitiful state, I don’t think Vincenzo should help her for now.

Meanwhile, Director Tae called Team Leader Ahn back to the office, scolded him for spying on his own. But right after that, he handed him two files which are requests from both Wusang and Babel to do a background check on Vincenzo. When Director Tae told him to charge the company instead of using his funds, he got emotional. The kindness of Director Tae is not pure, for he knows that Team Leader Ahn is still paying off his debts for his mom’s hospitalization. I don’t know whether Team Leader Ahn’s loyalty can be bought off, but based on his character he can be quite easily fooled, but at the same time, he looks like he works with dignity and perseverance.

One of the biggest revelations in this episode is when Joon-woo revealed Babel’s secret, revealing his identity as the eldest son of the chairman born to his wife, and Chairman Jang as the second son of his father is the wild species born from his secretary. Him revealing his identity, I bet the story will make a sudden turn and the upcoming scene will become more intense.

As the episode ended, Cha-young had no more witness to present. Babel had already smeared their reputation making them not eligible to become a witness. When Wusang is trying to retrieve their conviction, Cha-young presented her last-minute witness, Vincenzo. I can’t guess how Vincenzo will play out as a witness, but it will make Wusang and Babel more cautious since they can’t outplay Vincenzo’s petty ticks.
