Catriona on her final speech: I conquered 3 mountains including people’s perception
Thailand’s Miss Grand Nakhon Phanom 2019 Coco Arayha Suparurk is currently feeling the heat of the internet as she was getting attacked by pageant fans after describing Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray as “fat” on her deleted Instagram post.
The Thai beauty queen aspirant posted a photo of the Miss Universe 2018 next to Miss Grand International 2018 Clara Sosa in her Instagram story describing Clara as fit while Catriona as fat.
The post has now deleted but a number of fan pages and websites were able to screenshot the post.
Now, pageant fans are commenting to Coco’s different Instagram posts calling her out for body-shaming the beauty queen from Bicol.

It will be recalled that before passing the Miss Universe Philippines 2019 crown to Gazini Ganados last month, Catriona posted on her Instagram story her experience in joining the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
She shared in one of her Instagram stories her experience in body shaming.
“It was this same event that I experienced an increase in body bashing, body-shaming from so many in the online community. It’s easy to tell someone to have a ‘thick skin’ but it hurts,” Catriona wrote.
“There were days I really struggled reading comments online. And it was definitely a process. But I had to grow to accept and love my unique shape and appreciate my body for its strength and capabilities,” she wrote in another Instagram story.
In her final walk at the Binibining Pilipinas, she said in her final speech that she had to conquer three things including people’s perception.
“There were so many times that people told me that I would fail. I was told that it was too soon for another Miss Universe from the Philippines, I was body-shamed, and I was put down. But I conquered others by surrounding myself with people who uplifted me, supported me, and mentored me. My Team Catriona were my backbone and my safe place. I wouldn’t be standing here if not for every single one of them, and for all of you. And as an only child whose family was away for the entirety of this journey, they also gave me a home,” Catriona said.
As of this writing, Catriona is in New York, fulfilling her duties as Miss Universe 2018.
