Manila, Philippines – The Philippine representative to the Miss Universe 2019 was recently selected, and her name is Gazini Ganados. Before even the dust has settled down, the beauty queen is already laying down her marker. She has vowed to “fight for our rights and for elderly care.”
The 23-year-old will be representing the country in the Miss Universe 2019 pageant to be held later this year. While we are all rooting for her, it is no secret she got huge high-heeled shoes to fill considering her predecessor is non-other than Catriona Gray – the reigning Miss Universe who is also from the Philippines.

The beauty queen was born in Dapitan City in Zamboanga del Norte. She has lived in Talisay, Cebu City for large parts of her life.

Gazini Ganados has also won Best in Long Gown, Miss Photogenic and was also given a distinct title from PLDT.

Barreiro: “If you win the crown tonight, what will you do to get more women in the workplace?”
Ganados: “If I win the crown tonight, what I do is to promote my advocacy. My advocacy is for us women to fight for our rights and for the elderly women and for us to know that someone is loving us, someone is pushing us to whatever ambitions that we have. We will be able to rise from our decisions, to whatever dreams that we have, the goals that we have, and we will achieve it because of those values, that wisdom that they gave us. Thank you.”
