Table of Contents
Canceled trips are the worst. You’ve planned ahead, paid in advance, and suddenly, unforeseen circumstances prevent you from pushing through with the trip. It sucks, but there’s as they say, there’s always a silver lining – it’s not much of a hassle now compared to before when canceling bookings. Thankfully, we now have cancellation options through booking sites like Agoda, which eases the pain of canceling supposed-to-be trips. Read further to know how to cancel your Agoda booking.
Before we give you the ways to cancel your booking, here’s a tip:
Always check if your accommodation has a free cancellation policy. Now, how do you know your booking’s cancellation policy? Upon selecting an accommodation of your choice, you should see a mention of its cancellation policy in its details. You can also filter room options to Free Cancellation. Be a smart traveler and check their terms and conditions and cancellation policies. It’ll only take a few minutes, but then trust us– it would be very helpful when trips suddenly don’t push through (hopefully not!).

- Reason for cancellation
Note: Refunds may be given via Agoda cash or reversed credit card payment.

If you prefer to write an email to agoda, you may also do so. Here are some tips on how to write a booking cancellation email:
- The subject of your email should be clear. Write that it’s for cancellation of a booking.
- Specify the name of the property you booked. If possible, include screenshots.
- Mention your name, date of booking, booking ID, and last four digits of the card you used to pay for the booking.
- You’ll receive an email notification once your cancellation has been confirmed. Check your spam or junk folder in case it gets lost in your email.
Will there be cancellation fees?
Note: agoda does not charge cancellation processing fees, however, there are cases wherein bookings have cancellation fees. Fees are determined by the property you booked. The good thing is, you may still get a refund. See below to read several ways to get your refund:
Step 1: Go to the agoda website.
Step 2: Click the “Email Us” option.
Step 3: Type in the details of your concern.
Step 4: Wait for a response.
It says that the property I booked is non-refundable after booking. What do I do?
If you want to cancel your non-refundable booking, you may still do so but there will be cancellation fees. As mentioned, you may not get a refund, but if you believe that your case warrants a refund, you may email Agoda. If deemed that it deserves a refund, you may either get a full or partial refund. Make sure you have a factual and compelling reason when you ask for a refund!
Planning to travel soon? As restriction eases in and out of the country, make sure to be a smart traveler by booking only through legitimate sites and by reading the fine print of your bookings to avoid the hassle.
