Gerald Anderson finally speaks up about breakup with Bea Alonzo
Manila, Philippines — ABS-CBN actor Gerald Anderson has finally addressed the controversy surrounding him and former girlfriend Bea Alonzo and “Between Maybes” co-star Julia Barretto.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, Gerald has cleared Julia in the rumors surrounding his break up with Bea, her girlfriend for three years.
“Walang outside force, walang ibang tao ang naging dahilan ng breakup. Para sa akin, it’s always been our personal issues, things that we… Things inside our relationship [that caused the breakup],” Gerald said.
When asked directly by ABS-CBN News entertainment reporter Ganiel Krishnan if his “Between Maybes” co-star was the reason of their break up, Gerald denied the allegations saying “No one else was the reason, the cause of the breakup.”
The Kapamilya actor said he and Bea always had a fight until he realized that the relationship was not healthy anymore.
“Siguro, ang nangyari, just like any relationship, you have those moments where you have that fight, after fight after fight after fight. But you have that one big fight na doon niyo nailabas lahat ng emotions and lahat ng feelings,” he said.
“Doon din ‘yung realization na hindi na siya masyadong healthy, and we’re just hurting each other. Iyon, umabot sa point na ayawan na talaga. And then after that, you have to stay strong and disciplined para umiwas muna sa communication. Siguro, that moment, or that fight, happened about four weeks ago, mga isang buwan na siguro,” he added.
Gerald’s statement came after weeks of speculations that the actor and Julia have a special relationship together as posted by a netizen on Instagram which Bea liked. Bea also posted a cryptic post on her Instagram about cheating.

Last week, Bea told ABS-CBN News that she and Gerald haven’t had a formal break up and he just started not to talk her.
“To my understanding, we did not break up. He just started not talking to me,” Bea said.
