The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most successful movie franchises right now. Starting with Iron Man, starring Robert Downey, Jr., it has made over 20 movies and “Phase Three” was capped off with Avengers: Endgame. Endgame brought together almost every character in the whole MCU, including Spider-Man, who was played by Tom Holland.
Spider-Man was first introduced into the MCU in Captain America: Civil War. After that, he had his own movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and he had a big role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Just recently, his second movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, started showing in theaters and was getting rave reviews.

In all of the Spider-Man movies starting from Homecoming, Peter Parker’s best friend, Ned Leeds, was present. Ned was the first to learn of Peter’s secret and he always talks to him regarding superhero stuff.

Ned is played by Filipino-American actor Jacob Batalon. Jacob was born in Hawaii to Filipino parents, had studied acting at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
In an interview from ABS-CBN, along with fellow stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, Jacob was asked how his family reacted since he is now famous thanks to the Spider-Man movies. He said that his family knows nothing about Spider-Man but they are happy that he is “living his best life” and he is able to make a great movie with Tom and Zendaya.

He also shared what it felt to work in a huge production like Spider-Man: Far From Home. He said it was great to be able to meet amazing people and being able to work with them to make great movies that they put out, and it was also great that he is able to live a good life with the people he met.
Spider-Man started showing in cinemas July 3, and it’s a great follow-up for Avengers: Endgame. Try to watch it in 3D, as there are a few scenes that was made for it.
