Dear Jimmy,

Kahit sobrang baduy mo pumorma, kaya ka nabasted ni Nina, who chose Nyoy Volante over you. No, I’m not hinting about sexuality. There’s nothing wrong with being gay. But everything is wrong with being a bigot, with being sipsip, with being a political cocksucker. You’re in good company. Ben Tulfo. Teddy Boy Locsin. Sass Sasot. Mocha. Jay Sonza. Robin Padilla. Just to name a few. Pare-pareho kayo ng diskarte. You wipe the president’s ass so you can get what you want. Well, we’ve seen this quite a few times. There will be a hell to pay.

Punta na ako sa punto ko. You rejoice over the possibility na magsara ang ABS because of some assumptions that you raised:

1. ABS is a snake pit. In other words, maraming ahas sa loob ng istasyon.

Well, it is the case everywhere. Kahit saang workspace meron nyan. Actually, hindi mo na kailangan pang lumayo, just look around during your next cabinet meeting. Ipasara na rin ba natin ang Malacanang? Do I need to enumerate kung sino ang mga bumalimbing dyan for the sake of political convenience? You yourself is a snake. The fact that you support a regime of traitors makes you a traitor as well. Need I explain kung bakit kayo traydor? Anomalous deals with China.

2. “Success inside ABS is based on politics and sexual favors.

ART and CULTURE have been ruined by this network. Our moral fiber as a nation, too.”

Your position now, I am most certain, depended on political favors too. (I’m not sure about sexual favors though.) People are being appointed according to their willingness to become a “yes man” and sing praises to your egocentric lord. Dont get me wrong, I was a supporter too. I doubt any of you will ever remember. Sino lang ba ako? But anyway, I wrote a retraction letter and it went viral. As early as August 2016, I parted ways with Dutertismo. I could have also secured a post and reaped the benefits of “blinded loyalty.” But my loyalty belongs to reason, my loyalty belongs to justice, my loyalty belongs to the truth. My loyalty belongs to the moral fiber of this nation na binabanggit mo pero nakalimutan mo na ata ang ibig sabihin. How can you defend a president who curses the priests, the bishops, the Pope and even God? How can you take the side of a president who provokes drug addicts to steal from and murder Catholic bishops? How can you tolerate a president who insists that women are but sexual objects, who uses the term bakla and bayot in their pejorative sense to diminish his opponents? The rape jokes, his own admissions of rape, his demeaning rhetoric against women and the Church, his penchant for racist and homophobic comments. Everything he does erodes the moral fiber of this country and yet you support his endless pursuit of power by shutting down perceived critics, whose job by the way is to keep our democratic systems healthy?

3. “They have contests where the winners have been pre-determined, or are manipulated to suit the whims of the hidden bosses.”

This is also true with other networks. Capitalist reality iyan. Pero you cannot generalize. Kami mismo ng asawa ko ang makakapagpatunay. Halimbawa na lang, sa Himig Handog, ang pinakamalaking songwriting contest sa bansa, we can attest to the impartiality of the contest. Wala kaming backer, we’re the dark horse. May mga kalaban din kami who were coming from the far side of the country at mga bagong sibol lang din. But we ended up as grand winner. Walang pulitika, walang sexual favors. I can say these things under oath!

4. “Their news is for sale, highest bidder gets the slant. And foreign groups are usually the victors.”

This is laughable. Need I remind you of Nic Gabunada, yung social media manager ng amo mo? Diba sya itong may network of more than 200 fake news sites, na recenty ay tinake-down ng Facebook because of “inauthentic behavior.” Dilawan siguro ang Facebook ano? Shet. Bias naman sa inyo ang lahat ng news outfits who dare to call you out eh. You demand fairness from the press but you press them with trumped-up charges with all your legal might. You insist that might is right, we insist the opposite: right is might. If you wanna shutdown a network and change its ownership so you can take control, it’s not journalism anymore. It’s propaganda. Ayaw naming maging North Korea. Tama si Angel Locsin, the network is imperfect. I myself have called out ABSCBN for quite a few times. Halimbawa, noong ipalabas nila ang MMK episode nina Ed Angara at Bong Go. Among many other things. Pero kahit pagsama-samahin mo ang mga imperfections ng ABS, it is nothing compared to what it gives to Filipino people.

5. “I AM EAGERLY AWAITING YOUR DEMISE. I know how this sounds. And I know the nasty comments which are bound to come. I don’t care. If you think COMELEC is bad, wait until you see the real machinery that is known as “the biggest network.”

This is not schadenfreude. This is hope! This is for real change. You have COUNTLESS VICTIMS, from sexual harassment to plain and simple bullying.

I am so happy that your time has come.”

Which is also the case with other networks. Kahit saang opisina at pabrika, may sexual predation. Blame it on the culture of impunity, blame it on the culture of victim-blaming. Kung may legal weight ang accusations, bring it to the courts. File a formal complaint.

Your time will come.

P.S.

I love you Angel Locsin. Muah.
