The 16-year-old Laguna native won over Lucas Garcia and Lance Busa for the title.

Zephanie received 100 percent of combined viewers’ and judges votes while Lucas came in second with 70.2 percent of combined votes, Lance placed third with 41.89 percent of combined votes.

A veteran of singing competition in her young age, Zephanie also joined two singing competition on ABS-CBN which includes “The Voice Kids” in 2015 and “It’s Showtime” Tawag ng Tanghalan.

She was one of Pop Star proteges in the “The Voice Kids” season where Elha Nympha won and joined Tawag ng Tanghalan with Jenine Berdin emerging as the winner.

Often compared to Sarah, Zephanie performed the Pop Star’s hit “Forever Is Not Enough” during the auditions. She impressed all the judges that include Vice Ganda, Moira Dela Torre, James Reid and Regine Velasquez with all of the judges voting “yes” for her.

Vice even said that she’s beautiful comparing her to Julie Vega and Alessandra de Rossie.

In the Theater Round, Zephanie and fellow contestant Yarah Estella emerged as the winners of their group after singing “Born This Way” while her group performed Erasehead’s “Ang Huling El Bimbo” in the Do-or-Die Rounds.

For the solo round, she performed “I Believe” by Fantasia Barino.

Zephanie once again proved that she had what it takes to be part of the Top 12, singing National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab’s hit “Paraiso,” originally by Smokey Mountain.

She always topped the voting all the way to the Top 5 and the finals. In Day 1 of the Grand Finals, she performed “Lipad ng Pangarap.”

After getting into the Top 3, Zephanie showed her singing prowess by performing Ted Ito’s classic hit “Maghintay Ka Lamang” and a song composed for her by songwriter Jonathan Manalo called “Pangarap Kong Pangarap Mo.”

The 17-year-old singer took home a grand prize of P2 million, house and lot, a trip for four to Taiwan, and a recording contract.
