10,000 meals pledged to support communities in need
Filinvest Group’s 70th anniversary was commemorated with a meaningful act of generosity at the partners’ celebration on September 17. As a way to honor the milestone, Filinvest pledged to donate 70 meals for every guest who attended the event. This initiative resulted in a total of 10,000 meals being contributed to the Loaves X Fish Foundation, directly supporting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The gesture reflected Filinvest’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
In line with its mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope, Loaves X Fish Foundation, Inc. operates a charity kitchen dedicated to providing free, nutritious hot meals to the poor, abandoned, marginalized, and forgotten members of society. Since its establishment in February 2024, the kitchen has served over 325,000 meals, a feat made possible by the generous support of donors, the dedication of more than 1,700 volunteers, and active partnerships with 30 parishes and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across numerous communities.
Filinvest employees have played an integral role in this effort since the kitchen’s inception, regularly joining fellow volunteers to prepare and distribute meals. This ongoing participation demonstrates Filinvest’s deeply rooted culture of service, which forms a core part of the company’s values and employee engagement initiatives. Their involvement has not only provided much-needed assistance to the community but also fostered camaraderie and a sense of purpose among the employees themselves.
Reflecting on Filinvest’s long-standing commitment to social responsibility, Ysmael V. Baysa, Chief Operating Officer of Filinvest Development Corp., stated, “Filinvest’s 70th year is not only a celebration of our journey but also an opportune time to remind ourselves of our social responsibility. Supporting Loaves X Fish allows us to honor our partners while extending care to communities that need it most.” This partnership with Loaves X Fish Foundation is one of several initiatives Filinvest pursues as part of its advocacy for nation-building and inclusive growth.
