Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto Purchase Fresh Veggies From Benguet For Their COVID-19 Frontliners
The Mayor of Pasig City, Vico Sotto, has once again made headlines. This time, he went viral because of buying fresh vegetables from Benguet for frontliners in the city.

The millennial Mayor has shared the news via his Twitter Account, April 3.
Based on his post, the party list “Ang Probinsiyano” has helped him in connecting with Benguet farmers.

He said that the city decided to buy bulk supplies from farmers in Benguet in an effort to give fresh veggies for the daily meals of the local cleaners, healthcare workers, as well as checkpoint officials.
“GULAY GALING BENGUET! Kulang ang supply ng gulay sa palengke ngayon,” he said. “Kaya malaking tulong itong bigay nina Cong Ong ng Ang Probinsiyano Parylist… at malaking tulong din ito sa mga magsasaka ng Benguet.”
He added that the city is going to use the purchased veggies in the Community Kitchen that could help approximately 3,000 frontliners in the city.

As such, a lot of netizens across the nation have praised Mayor Vico Sotto for such a heroic move.
Twitter user @HeySyao said that the mayor is making problem-solving and competence “sound so easy and matter-of-factly.”

Another Twitter user, with the handle @geraldceleste24, said that he is undoubtedly the “Pambansang Mayor ng Pilipinas.”
Other netizens also thank Vico for patronizing the vegetables that come from the province.
For those who do not know, Mayor Vico is the son of veteran actor Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes.

The Mayor is deemed one of the most controversial politicians today as he is admired by quite a few people in the country because of his heart and passion in public service. He is 30 years old at the moment. However, it seems that he has already done a lot for his city.
Not so long ago, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) summoned the politician as he allowed tricycle drivers in the city to operate. The authorities said he allegedly violated the “enhanced community quarantine” protocol.
