Benguet Wedding Used Vegetables Instead of Flowers as Decoration

Benguet, Philippines – A wedding is a special occasion that everyone would want to prepare for. It is a sacred ceremony that can only happen once in a lifetime. Careful planning on how the wedding would happen, where it would be held, among other things, would need to be done. Some would plan to have a simple wedding while others would prefer to make it as extravagant as possible. One couple in Benguet decided to make theirs unique.

Claver and Fleann Molot from Benguet said their vows on July 2019 in a wedding ceremony held in a church. The ceremony was successful and there was nothing out of the ordinary. It would be until you take a careful look at the decorations and that is where you’ll see how unique their wedding was.

In a few photos in that became viral in Facebook, instead of using flowers, the couple decided to use vegetables as decoration throughout. They said it was their aunt’s idea in order to make the ceremony unique but at the same time not be too expensive. It was also at that time that there was an abundance of vegetables that they could use.

The altar had cabbages and pechay around it, and there were also cauliflowers and broccoli. Along with a few flower boquets, the vegetables were arranged carefully and the church looked like a garden.

As the wedding photos went viral on Facebook, and netizens who saw the pictures marveled at not only the ingenuity of the theme, but at the sizes of the vegetable heads that they saw.

After the wedding ceremony, the vegetables were given away to the attendees.
