- Oil companies are set to have a rollback with their prices on August 13
- The rollback would go between P0.50 up to P1.10 per liter
- These price changes reflect what is happening overseas as well
Manila, Philippines – The changes with the oil prices is closely monitored by everyone. The fare for both buses and jeepneys depend greatly on this and this is what transport groups would depend on when they try to ask for a fare increase. Private motorists also monitor this since they pay for their own gas, and it will affect their budget if the gasoline price goes up a certain level.
It was then recently announced that several oil companies will be having a rollback with their prices and this will be effective at 6 AM on Tuesday, August 13.

Petro Gazz and PTT will be lowering their diesel price by P1.10 and gasoline by P0.50 per liter.
Phoenix Petroleum also had a price rollback which took effect on Saturday, August 10, at 2PM. It also rolled down at the same rate of P0.50 for gasoline and P1.10 for diesel. Cleanfuel has the same price reduction and it took effect at 4PM today, August 11.
Caltex Philippines announced that they will be lowering their prices by P0.55 per liter for diesel, P1.10 for gasoline, and P1.30 for kerosene, which will take effect on Tuesday, August 13, at 12:01AM.
Seaoil meanwhile will have their own price rollback take effect on Monday, August 12, at 6AM. They will have their diesel price roll back by P1.10 per liter, gasoline by P0.50 per liter, and kerosene by P1.30 per liter.

Based on a report from PhilStar, the reason for the price changes is because of the ongoing US-China trade war.
Other oil companies have yet to announce their own price rollback.
