Manila, Philippines — On Sunday, June 9 Resham Saeed was among the six ladies crowned at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.

She scooped the Miss Supranational Philippines 2019 title during the coronation night.

The 25-year-old Resham took over the title from last years queen Jehza Hueler. Resham Saeed speaks several languages including Filipino, English, and Punjabi.

Right from the start of the competition, Resham was a dark horse, and as other frontrunners hogged all the attention in the beginning, she maintained her articulate self and managed to curve her own path with her exotic features and excellent communication skills.

Bi-Racial

Resham Saeed is of Filipino-Pakistani heritage but represented Buluan, Maguindanao in the competition that ended on June 9.

Only Second Muslim to Be Crowned at Bp. Pilipinas

Resham Saeed is the only second Muslim winner in the history of Bp. Pilipinas, and it has been over 20 years since the last and the first one – Reham Snow Tago, in 1995.

She was Raised in Canada

Although Reham Snow was born in the Philippines, she was raised in Toronto Canada, and only returned to the Philippines last year (2018).

Pro-Migration

During her Q and A sessions, migration topic was raised and having been raised in Canada as a foreign, she might have an idea of how migrants feel in a foreign land.

She also revealed to have lived in six countries during her childhood.

She is Smart

The beauty queen obtained her undergraduate degree in Canada, in Psychology way before joining the pageant world.

Speaks Four Languages

Having been mainly raised in Canada, Resham Saeed can speak fluent English. But that is not all; according to her recent interview, she also had short stints in 6 countries allowing her to know Spanish, Punjabi, Filipino, and Hindi.

Advocacy

Apart from being pro-migration, Resham is also a champion and advocate for gender equality and women empowerment.

She has worked with organizations such as Celebrating women who ignite global change (SPARK).
